Am building a custom Packard based roadster with an underslung chassis requiring a straight front axle. Choosing the axle with the "Chevy" ends allows me to use Packard spindles etc with no mods--the kingpin diameters are the same.

I will be using this axle under a Crosley that is to be driven on the street. I didn't want the gasser look with the front of the car way up in the air so I will mount the longitudinal leaf springs beneath the axle and mount the engine far enough rearward to clear the axle.
