i used this assembly on my '54 3100 (with an inline 6 and powerglide, mustang 2 frontend and 8.8 disc braked rear, lowered to 4 inches off the ground at running boards.) not as easy as i thought it would be. i had to remove the original bellhousing crossmember since it interferes with rivet and bolt. (don't need crossmember with automatic transmission) i had to cut a hole in the floorboards just in front of driver's seat for access to brake reservoir. i had to open up the hole for the brake pedal arm about a half inch at top for clearance. otherwise once i got all the stuff to fit nicely, it bolted up easy enough and fits well. it is a good thing my 3100 is a ratrod cause i would not recommend this assembly on an original or restored truck. i am 50/50 on this assembly, once installed it seems to work just fine.

Warning before you purchase. To make this work with a SBC, TH350 I had to modify the support bracket, brake pedal arm, my exhaust manifold, transmission crossmember. I'm building a 49 Chevrolet truck. I installed this to fit in the recommended factory holes, the brake pedal hits my exhaust manifold. It didn't work with my previous trans crossmember either. I purchased another recommended by Speedway but the flanges only mount holding support under the frame. That crossmember is too wide to sit inside the frame rails. Just like most builds I'm modifying everything to work together. This isn't a bolt on, go part.

Hi, I purchased this off you in Nov 17, and now intend to fit it. Could you please advise of the Brake pipe union size that fits into the Master cylinder as one is large and the other smaller. Also can you supply the unions and is the centre of the union for 3/16 brake pipe as mostly used in the uk. Many thanks Ray

I installed this in a 52 chevy truck, adjusting valve on rear drums but still have a very hard pedal to stop the vehicle. What is the bore size on this master cylinder? Any suggestions?
