I am making a custom vintage truck product and needed this style hood latch. It is a sturdy well built product and matches the original ford product. The only down side would be the combination Philips head flat screw heads but if you are picky that is easily remedied. You can't go wrong for the price.

What is the center to center spacing of the bolt holes on the hold down, please?

will the base mount of the latch turn so that the mounting screws are a right angle to the latch handle? i am looking for a latch that will hold a model A hood down against the side of the firewall(cowl) this means the mounting screws for the latch handle and latching clip are all going in the same direction when mounted. can the base of this latch bend 90 degrees from the picture shown?
