Overall Assessment

Product reviews indicate the 1930-31-Model-A-Fiberglass-Firewall has some construction flaws impacting usability. The lip is reportedly too short for correct attachment, leaving weld holes exposed. Made of thin material, this firewall is described as flimsy, raising concerns regarding its capability for supporting a car's front. It was successfully utilized as a donor piece but was deemed unsuitable for standalone use. The short lip compromised fitting on the car body, suggesting poor compatibility. The product provides a fill-in solution, rather than a total replacement.

this firewall didn't work as intended. the lip that attaches to the body is to short and does not even cover the weld holes that were drilled out to remove steel wall. it just doesn't fit properly. very thin and flimsy for a part that is suppose to hold the entire front of the car together. In the end I cut the steel fire wall out and then cut out the recess from the fiber glass wall and used the glass piece as a filler on the steel wall. it all worked and looks good . I wouldn't use this fiberglass one by itself. there's no strength to it especially with the lip being so short there really is no good way to make it fit on the body. as a donor piece it works to fill the hole.
