Speedway Motors 91122503 Details

These quality reproduction 1930-1931 Ford Model A hood latches are spring loaded and come in a stainless steel finish.  They feature a two-hole mounting bracket and they mock the original style for a perfect look and latch every time.  This latch mounts to the frame easily with two screws.

NOTE: 1928-31 did not make use of a hood bracket, instead the hood was stamped for the latch. We do offer part #91132503 that does include hood clip.

  • Two hole mounting bracket 
  • Mounting holes are 1-5/8" center to center
  • From mounting surface to top of main body is 2-1/2"
  • Main body is 2-7/16" long
  • From mounting surface to tip of hold down finger is 3"
  • From mounting surface to inner radius of hold down finger is 3-3/8"
  • From center line of main body to tip of hold down finger is 1-1/2"

    I purchased (4) latches to replace the old latches on my Step-Dad's 1930 Ford Model A (running a 350 Chevy V8). The old latches were were well worn, rusty with weak springs. The new latches from Speedway were manufactured slightly different but in a better way with a nice chrome finish and strong springs.

    sorry i guess i did not ask the guestion properly. i know the spring assemblly will work horizontal and vertical. i want to use it in the vertical position. my guestion to you is can i rotate the mounting plate 90 degrees so instead of mounting on the side of the chassis it mounts on the top like the32 ford latch. i would prefer this model latch to the 32 because it is closer to the original
