Our crossmember kit makes it easy to mount a GM transmission in your '28-'31 Model A frame. This is the same one that you have seen in our assembled "Model A" frames. Transmission mount plate is to be used with a two-bolt transmission mount cushion.

  • 30" wide
  • 2 x 3" Square tubing
  • 8-3/8" from top of tubing to top of plate (top of the crossmember to the trans mount surface)
  • Top of crossmember to mounting holes: 2-7/8"

Notes2" x 3" square tubing. 8.38" from top of tubing to top of plate. Top of crossmember to mounting hole is 2.88". This measures 6.5 inches from tubing to center of mounting holes. Mounting holes are 1 inch in length.

have not got installed yet

nice clean looking support. it may need some more side bracing. small K bracing effect which could be added by individual. could offer the pieces as and option.

Needs work to use

It seems this unit isnt made in a jig..had to file out all the holes to get it to bolt together as none of the holes lined up..you will spend a couple of hrs doing this.
