When I ordered this trans mount kit, I still wasn't sure how I wanted to go about building it. As I was tacking it in, I changed my mind a couple of times and because of the design of this kit, I was able to do what I needed to do in fitting up to my frame. I think that I will reinforce this bracket however. It is probably sufficient but I am running a Chevy BB and want to make certain.
