Allows my 1957 Chev to have a new Carb.
My 1957 Chevy. 283 has a different manifold than later small block Chevy's and this adapter makes it possible to use a new Edelbrock carb. on my 59 year old manifold. Adapter fits great is complete with hardware, gaskets and looks good also. Talked with two customer service Reps. both were very helpful. Used two day shipping which got it here in two days and was cheaper than other suppliers standard service. I am very happy.

Usable for the price
Mounting hole needed modification. The countersinke did not fit the suoolied hardware and were slightly out of position. Also the mounting holes were not drilled through. I was lucky enough to have access to a machine shop since I don't believe this could be done with just a drill. I also replaced the hardware since the fit was very loose. The only hardware I used from the kit were some mounting nuts that fit into the pockets at the carb mount. Overall the price is ultamately the thing that makes this a worthwile product.

While trying not to change the intake manifold to fit a modern current date four barrel square bore carburetor on my 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air with a 4- jet carburetor this product made it easy and fit perfect for my new Holley 4-barrel 600 CFM on my 283 Chevy motor.

The only complaint I have is that the manufacturer did not drill out the 4 inner bolt holes, but that certainly isn't a deal killer.

I have a 1962 Impala with a stock 327 original spread bore intake , I am trying to install an Edelbrock 1406 on it , I tired three adapter plates already and none of them fit. I tired the Edelbrock 2696, trans 2090 and the mr.gasket universal , none work. Will this adapter plate work on my intake? Thanks

Hi, I have a 283 Chevy the intake is casting number 3837109 is this the correct adapter to fit it with a new Quick Fuel carb that has the 5 1/8 x 5 5/8 bolt pattern. This engine is in a 58 jeep wagon but the block casting numbers show it to be a 1956-58 283 Chevy. I can't be sure that the intake is orginal so that's why I'm giving you the intake casting number that is on it

What is the difference between 1351935 and 1351935B ? On dimension #3 it says 5,125 X 5,625 The Holley bolt hole dimensions are 5 3/16 X 5 5/8 in decimal that is 5,1875 X 5,625 but it says in Q and A that they have been bolting Holley's to this. So is the specs correct?

Will this work with my offy intake manifold on my 53 ford with the flathead? It seems to be the same as the one they recommend when buying the offenhauser intake manifold . Just not the Holley name on it.
