Speedway Motors 91615201 Details

A Speedway Motors exclusive! The center exhaust ports on flatheads are siamesed. Our baffles separate these two exhaust ports and prevent reversion while decreasing the dilution of the intake charge. These are a must for high-performance flatheads. The baffle is held in place with an extended stud that replaces the stock cylinder head stud.

Manufactured from bronze to withstand high exhaust temperatures
Includes center adapter stud to pinch the baffle in place
Fitting required
Use on 1936-1953 24-stud engines only

Overall Assessment

The product is generally praised for its quality and practicality, fitting well in most cases. The ease of installation was a recurring positive note, indicating good usability. However, there are recommendations for the manufacturer to include set screws and better quality head studs for improved safety and overall experience. While some observed the need for modifications or instructions, multiple customers were very satisfied, emphasizing they would repurchase, favoring this product over others.

Good quality

Like the baffles it would be nice if set screws were sent to lock the baffle in rather than have to cut off stud and make your own.

Great product. Certainly help the Flathe

Easy to fit may need a little linnish to fit the block. The threaded rod supplied is not good enough as a head stud!! Most threaded rod is grade 3 or less and is prone to stretch when heated. I think for the extra couple of bucks 2 proper head studs should be part of this kit.

This thing does not fit. You have to do a lot of modifcations to get it to fit. A lot of wasted time for 'what kind of improvement you get'.
