Hard to find

September 27, 2014
These spacers were my only option for retaining my stock cast aluminum " POWERED BY FORD" valve covers. I tried thick gaskets but there was still clearance issues with my roller rockers. The look of these spacers isn't noticable once installed, but they will give you plenty of clearance. The only place I know that carries these is Speedway, which has great customer service and shipping! If you need added clearance these will give plenty of it, even with a stud girdle.
Pros:
  • cheaper than new covers
  • Good Quality
  • add lots of clearance
Cons:
  • no gaskets included
Yes, I recommend this product.

Pricey but well-made

April 07, 2012
They are a little pricey, but if you want to run vintage valve covers they fit the bill. I have a SB Ford and have late model heads. The old M/T valve covers I wanted to run would not clear the rockers. I really like the look of these valve covers, so I bought these spacers. The one thing that would improve these would be a set of long bolts to go with them. For the price, it seems like a set of bolts would not be too much to ask. They are heavy duty and will last forever, though.
Pros:
  • Easy To Install
No, I would not recommend this product.

yes, you will need two sets of gaskets.

You will need a gasket between the spacer and the head and one between the spacer and your valve cover. So yes, two spacers total. I would recommend using studs for your valve covers to make it easier for installation and for access to your valves later on.

Yes you will need one set of gaskets that seal these spacers to the cylinder heads, and one set of gaskets to seal these spacers to the valve covers. You will also need longer bolts or studs to bolt the valve covers on.
