Speedway Motors 91012350 Details

Finally an affordable distributor for you Ford guys! Basically this is a GM HEI distributor that fits 289-302 Fords. It is fully self-contained and requires only one wire to hook-up. No need for an MSD box. NOT compatible with computer controlled vehicles.

It uses the GM HEI cap, rotor and module, and includes mechanical and vacuum advances. Comes complete as shown. Shaft diameter of .450".

Note: This distributor has an O-ring seal that has a VERY tight fit when installing for the first time. We suggest using a small amount of lithium grease or silicone lubricant on this seal to ease installation.

Many highlighted the product's performance-enhancing results on their engines, praising its power, reliability, and efficient single-wire hookup. The distributor is deemed a great value, with several users expressing their preference for it over other brands. Used on a 1974 302 Ford. Installation was smooth, fitment was perfect. Easy to wire. Just make sure you have 12V on the run position. Only drawback is the instructions could be a little more detailed. Quality of part was excellent, fast shipping. I would order again. A must if you're still using old points system.

Yes, great product/service

Replacing distributor on a 302 Ford small block. Cap hold downs contacted temp-sending unit, grounded it out, pegged the needle and burned out the gauge. My fault for not seeing it when adjusting the timing.

I would buy this product again

I have had this unit in my 302 (now 347) for over 10 years, and it is one of the best decisions I have ever made. This is the perfect replacement for the stock Ford unit.
