I ordered this L88 style hood scoop to use on a 72 GMC Jimmy after adding a blower. I haven't installed the scoop yet, but it should look great. The scoop looks very well made, thick fiberglass, nice gelcoat finish, etc…

The L88 hood blister has not been installed yet. I've placed it on the hood to get an idea of the look. I will not install until the supercharged engine is finished, for clearance.

I read reviews before ordering and was Leary that this may not be a good product. WRONG. I am extremely pleased with this item. The jell coat was fantastic, and the fiberglass sturdy without being too heavy or thick. The fiberglass is a consistent thickness throughout, and does NOT sag as I have read. You MUST mount this scoop correctly to avoid sag. An "EVEN" parallel measurement between the two edges when mounting will prevent the sag. Widening out as you get closer to the windshield will let the scoop sag.
