Used on a one of a kind hot rod with battery in trunk. Wish it had metal clips instead of plastic.

Are the provided clamps intended for standard top post battery terminals?

What material is the conductor made from? Is it copper or aluminum? Copper obviously weighs much more than aluminum, but copper is a much better conductor. Also aluminum has serious issues with corrosion, especially in a salty environment. Mixing copper and aluminum components exacerbates that situation.
