Wish I would Have Bought This Years Ago!

This is such a useful tool! I bought it to help with some sheet metal work on my Cougar and I can't believe how handy it is. You can easily turn an ugly, flimsy panel into a very sturdy and professional looking piece. The bead roller was heavier duty than I expected for the cost, and the assortment of dies was great. A motor would be nice, but for the price you can't beat this bead roller!

Instructions would be nice!

This bead roller looks like a good heavy duty piece. I got it a few days ago and just got it unpacked. The first thing I noticed was that there are no instructions on which dies to use for a project. I specifically asked a question in the Q&A section whether or not dies were included to roll the edges of sheet metal over to form a strengthened edge. I was lead to believe that those dies were included. THEY ARE NOT! By the way, my question and answer has disappeared since... That was one of the main uses I bought this bead roller for. I even called the manufacturer and asked about instructions. There aren't any! I was told that they don't make dies for rolling edges of sheet metal for this machine. If you want to do simple bead rolling and step edges, this roller will do the job. Don't expect it to do more than that...

it looks like what was in the add. all there and box in good shape. need to make a bracket to mount it with, or find a base that is heavy enough, to stay put, while i roll metal through it. might need to fabricate a veriable speed drill adapted to it with a foot pedal controler and reverse switch, wired in, so i can run with my foot, since i work by myself, and need both hands to guide the metal, through the wheels..

Much smaller assortment of dies then for powered models. That is not publicized so beware if you want to purchase additional dies. Also if you want to power it you will have to go to another manufacturer. I would recommend but with cautions.

This bead roller works well. I didn't want to spend the big bucks on a powered one. It usually not too tough to bribe a friend with some beverages to come crank it for me!
