This simple, portable tool works great for quickly breaking down tire beads track side or back at your shop. The tool has rubber cushioned handles for easier use when applying leverage to break the tire bead away from the wheel's bead seat. This wide-foot model is zinc coated and spreads the load over a larger area of the tire, which is especially helpful on soft sidewall racing tires. It is designed for 15-inch wheels, but can be used with smaller diameter wheels by shortening the hook bar length and cutting a new hook location. For wheels larger than 15 inches in diameter a longer hook bar will need to be fabricated.
