You can use this voltage reducer to operate 6 volt DC motors and fans on 12 volt DC. Ceramic insulator with embedded coil and screw-type terminals. 1.5 ohm resistance, 4 amp max load, 25 watts. Mounting stem has 7/16"-28 threads.

Not to be used with gauges, radios or other electronic items. We recommend part 910-64101 for gauges.

I am using this voltage reducer to run my 6 volt heater fan from a 12 volt system. It seems to get really hot . So hot you cannot touch it without getting burned . I know theses heat up but is it getting to hot ?
