With the Van Alstine V100 heated tire grooving tool, you can finally eliminate the need for a bulky power cable and large control box. Instant on technology and six power levels have the groover ready to go immediately and adjustable power levels makes for precise control without over-cutting or blistering from lower-cost grooving irons. The Van Alstine V100 tire groover features innovative blade holders that provide unobstructed visibility of the work area for precise tire grooving.

I've not had a lot of experience grooving dirt racing tires, but know that there is no substitute for having the right tool for the job. This tire groover works well and requires little force even when set at the lower heat setting. The blades are easy to change out and manipulate to get the center aligned with the iron. Heats up instantly with the pull of the trigger and does not consume hardly any power from generator.
