They are a good looking cheap plastic. If you have a low budget but want something that looks good go with these. For a show type vehicle way to low quality. Lastly make sure 4" is long enough.

They work great.The two problems I have with them,one you have a hard time adjusting them and keeping the signal in the right direction,the other thing is I think it needs heavier gauge of the wire.

If you can REMOVE the Base like you say you can they WHY Dont you make a NEW Base where as We can Drill like a 3/8 Hole in Door and Mount NEW BASE with 3/8 THREADED STUD and NUT aand Finally Mount it PERMANATE and SOLID rather than this FLIMSY Clamp On???If You make a DIFFERENT BASE thats PERMANATELY attackes These Id LOVE to get a Set of Them ASAP

Can it be mounted any other way then the bracket in the picture? I would like to mount a pair of these on a fiberglass bodied kit car. would it be possible to put a screw through the fiberglass from the inside and into the mirror base or must you use the bracket show in the picture?
