For my purposes, this is an excellent pr
The switch is more compact and easier to install than the stock switch. The only thing that it doesn't do that the stock switch did is dim the dash lights. The single best thing about it is that I don't have to reach behind the dash to pull the trigger that realeases the knob. Just loosen the set screw and I'm finished. The second best thing is that it costs a fraction of the cost of a stock switch.

Universal - yes. Good - no
I wired this switch into the dash of my 23 T build and it looked very good. However, after the first time I pulled it out and pushed it in, it broke inside. It became very sloppy and didn't work anymore.

I will install this in my model A hot rod. My headlights work on a toggle switch right now but will be converted over to this switch in the dash.

I would give it a 5 but, I bought this one to replace one that I installed that was only a few weeks old that failed. The threaded part on my old one let go and whatever is inside became sloppy and loose and didn't work right. That said, I am a car builder and I use these switches all the time and this is the first failure I've had

Love the quality of pull knob and adjustment for different dash thickness is a plus. Be mindful if you have a tight area, mine was a tight fit.

Only complaint would be if it came with a second jam nut. Threaded portion spins in the housing so I had to use the nut to lock it in place and source a second to set the switch depth in the dash.
