Speedway Motors 7209314 Details

Connects engine mounts to frame adapters. Heavy-duty rubber cushion absorbs vibrations so your mounts won't break. These universal body mounts are required on all motor installations.

  • Universal mount cushions - allow for easy setup
  • Rubber bushing is 3" O.D.
  • Durable, rugged construction
  • Complete with bolts, washers, and rubber cushions. Does both sides.
  • Large cone shaped rubber biscuit is 3" O.D. and 1-1/8" thick. It is the main load carrying component in the mount.
  • Small rubber biscuit is 1-5/8 " O.D. and is 7/8 " thick. It is stepped to mount in a 1" diameter hole and acts as the backup isolator for the mount.
  • Bolt is 3" long, has a 5/8" shank and 7/16" threads.

Worth the money, yes!

Local vintage Ford sells these for [$] EACH!!!Your price is the lowest I've ever seen.Top quality for this custom installation of a '53 flathead in an original '23 T that was a drag car in the mid 50's. Boxed 23 rails, quarter elliptics and Frankland quickchange with a Kellison hand layed fiberglass body.

Not for all applications

Most motor mounts of this style have the rubber biscuit sitting in a cup with a flange on the bottom that locates in a hole in the frame bracket. This helps to positively keep the mount in place. I wasn't confident that the rubber biscuit sitting on a large, flat washer would stay in place adequately (Even the illustration of a typical installation shows the more positively located flanged style base in the frame bracket.). I returned the mounts and used rubber biscuits from another kit that fit in my existing cups (These biscuits are too large to fit in the metal cups.). I just don't think this design will keep a motor from wanting to move side-to-side under high torque conditions.

I needed this to replace the kit that was stripped out and destroyed from the previous vehicle owner. This kit is better than the one I had and worked perfectly. There is even enough bolt length for shims to level out the engine! The price seems a little high but then again, everything is expensive these days.

Do you have longer mount bolts? By the time you put the all of the washers on with a 50's Flat Head V-8 water pump mount, the bolts are too short.
