Oil catch can systems have become popular with gas direct injection (GDI) engines, as their direct injection design delivers the high pressure fuel directly to the combustion chamber vs spraying at the back of the intake valve as in traditional EFI systems. That fuel spray helps remove oil deposits and keeps the valves clean, so adding an oil catch can system to a GDI engine helps in the same manner but by removing the oil vapor from the crankcase/PCV system, increasing engine life, and reducing strain on engine seals, turbos, and more. You’ll find a lot of direct fit applications for modern GDI cars, and some manufacturers are even including oil catch can or “recovery” systems from the factory now. But what about muscle cars and other classics with modern engine swaps or performance builds with increased crankcase/blowby from turbos or superchargers? For these applications, a universal oil catch can is your best option.

Universal Mounting and Connections To Work With Any Engine

Unlike these modern GDI engines, when you’re tying up loose ends on your turbocharged LS swap, you’re not going to be able to find an LS catch can system that is a “direct fit” due to the many changes that occur with such swaps. As such, we have designed a universal PCV valve catch can kit that is sure to work on just about any application. Constructed from aluminum with O-ring seals that provide a leak free installation, it is painted a neutral black finish that compliments any engine compartment. The large 750ml capacity provides extended drain intervals, and the bottom mounted drain fitting makes emptying the catch can a breeze. Measuring 7.366 inches high and 2.484 inches in diameter, our oil catch can is capable of being mounted just about anywhere in your engine compartment with the included mounting bracket.

Included is a dual wing design internal baffle system. The two NPT threaded ports can be used as inlet and outlet ports for a closed system, or as dual inlet for an open system (commonly used with valve cover fittings) along with the included external breather. All fittings are NPT threaded, and we include hose barb fittings for multiple hose sizes (3/8-and 1/2-inch) to work with your PCV or valve cover breather hose sizes. Simply supply the proper length oil/vapor compatible hose to connect the oil catch can to your engine.
