Overall Assessment

The product receives mostly positive reviews, with customers highlighting its lightweight yet sturdy construction. They have noted its great quality and ease of use. Many users prefer it over similar products like u-bolts for 1310 u joints. The visual aesthetics of the item also receive praise. U-Joint Girdle Assures Life of Differential U-Joints

This is a terrific product for anybody using a 1300-series Universal Joint for the connection to the Differential Yoke. The Bearing Journal Cups on the U-Joint are only supported on half of their diameter by the Differential Yoke, but rely upon U-Bolts or Straight Bolts & Clips to hold the bearings in place and transmitting the torque. The danger of not being tightened enough is obvious, while torqueing too tightly can distort the Bearing Journals, causing bearing failure. Using the U-Joint Girdles provides not only full, 360 degree support of the Bearing Journal Cups, but a lip also prevents to Cups from sliding axially, Differential U-Jointsin case of a snap ring failure. The Bolt Clamping Force is taken by the body of the Girdle, not transferred to the Bearing Cups by U-Bolts or Clips.

Appears to be high quality but I have not installed yet. Mine are black color, not gold as shown. Also "Moroso" does not appear anywhere on the packaging or on the part, only the Speedway part number is on the label.

The bolts were 2" they should have been 2 1/4 or longer. It took hours to make them thread! THEN the instructions said torque to 29 lbs. BUT when I got to about 20 the Nut STRIPPED. This would work IF it had the longer bolts It cost stupid money, and I ended up using U bolts instead they worked great
