Customers appreciate the product for its high-quality construction and the ease of installation. It's specifically acknowledged for its practical design and reliable functioning latch. Some customers have creatively mounted it flush with the door, proving customizability- contributing to its usability. They also commend its easy installation even requiring some fabrication and aligning. One issue was with a slightly misfit bolt and the absence of certain bolts in the kit. However, even with these minor issues, customers would recommend the product over competitors due to its superior performance and design.

I mounted it flush with the door instead of "bolt on". Just made 1/4" spacers to bolt on behind the spindle plate to make up for the real estate lost by not surface mounting.
Works great and simple install!

Product works great and was easy to install with a little fabrication and cutting the door was simple. Ensure proper alignment before drilling mounting holes for the latch makes it easy. I did have to take it out and drill out the lower hole that the inside door handle bolts too. For whatever reason it wasn't large enough for the bolt provided. Also take care not to over tighten this bolt. The only think that I had an issue with was the kit was missing the 6 bolts that bolt the catch to the door jam. It came with all other hardware but these.

Does this item allow the door to be locked and unlocked using the inside door handle? I have found another bear claw lock system but it specifically states that the interior handle will not lock or unlock the door. I consider this possibly unsafe in an accident situation and am looking for an alternative. Thank you in advance for any help you can supply.
