Trans-Dapt 42161 Details

Stuffing a New-Era 1997-2013 GM LS V8 motor into a classic GM pick-up truck or SUV used to be an extremely complex, yet rewarding project. While performing this swap is still very rewarding, performing the project isn't quite as daunting as it once was. Nowadays, there are a number of quality products manufactured to make the LS swap go smoother with less, "trial and error". The key to a stress-free swap is finding aftermarket components that work together. Trans-Dapt Engine Swap Kits do just that.


Each of the member companies of the Hedman Performance Group is an engine swap specialists in their product field. Now, Hedman, Trans-Dapt and Hamburger's Performance have combined R&D forces to create their "Engine Swap In A Box" kits.

Each kit comes complete with a special engine swap oil pan and pickup, a full set of engine swap mounts and pads, a complete set of engine swap headers with gaskets and mounting hardware, and select kits also include a transmission crossmember and mount pad.

  • Oil pan does not have an option for an oil filter, therefore, oil filter relocation kit # 289-81019 is suggested
