Overall Assessment

Customers highly recommend our wire crimpers for their practicality, quality, and value. Users commend their efficiency in auto wiring tasks, particularly for hobbyist mechanics. The robust build ensures durable and reliable crimps on a consistent basis, making it a trusted choice over cheaper alternatives. Some customers noted a learning curve, centered around the release mechanism and achieving the optimum crimp. Although limited when used with uninsulated terminals, customers still acknowledge the overall usability and longevity of this tool, often preferring it over competitors. They find it notably beneficial for large wiring projects, emphasizing the strength and aesthetic of the crimps.

Heavy duty crimper

Every crimp has been perfect so far. My first time using a ratchet crimper, it would lock and agrivate me. Finally figured out that you need to squeeze it tight to release the lock. I was using a putty knife to press the release lever at first. Wanted to return it until I figured it out.

Bought a wiring harness from Speedway for my 1980 blazer. I was so pleased with the harness (quality and price) that I thought I would upgrade to a better crimper. This looked like the product I wanted, with a great price as well. Bought it and it's wonderful. Very pleased with the purchase for a hobbyist mechanic.

Contrary to what Eric said in his answer to my question , this tool will not tightly crimp uninsulated terminals, without using the next size smaller die. That leaves you out of luck for 18-22 ga terminals. It is a well made tool and I expect to use it, with its limitations for a long time.
