It has picked up everything I needed without any problems. Being little larger I will not break as east as the thinner type.

This is the most stout telescopic pickup tool I have ever owned. I wont have to worry about bending or breaking the pole. The magnet is strong enough to pick up my 3/8" socket wrench.
