Customers found this product to be of high quality and practical, highlighting its ease of use and good weldability. They successfully utilized it for various projects, lauding its perfect fit and function. The threads were noted to remain intact after welding with no deformation reported. Some customers did voice concerns over the presence of a zinc plating that affected weldability, but this could be rectified with a muriatic acid dip. The product's availability at a reasonable price compared to local alternatives was also appreciated. Overall, customers recommend it for its robust performance and affordability.

Why would you zinc plate a weld on bung?

WARNING!!! These are zinc plated!! Not as described and Not weldable!! I have previously purchased many of these, they were bare steel with some oil to prevent rust. Last time I purchased them, Jan 2015 they were zinc plated, not sure why you would zinc plate a weld on part, the plating causes porosity and a poor weld and will leak. I had to dip these in Muratic acid to remove the plating prior to welding

This part was hard to find in the northwest and when I did find it they wanted $20. I guess they thought they had a corner on the market. Speedway Motors to the rescue.... Right part at a great price. Thank you Speedway Motors.
