Will this work on a 5 bolt fuel sending unit for a boat? The threads stripped out on my fuel tank… was going to use this as a backer plate to secure the sending unit down. The size is approximately 2 2/4 inches. Thanks

So does this adapt a fuel sender locking ring tightener on a Fuel tank to a 5 Hole ring gas tank ? I'm trying to understand how this works.. The 5 bolt ring tank fuel sending unit I need is not available but one like it is available in a locking ring style. Thanks.
