The Tremec TUET18132 Magnum XL T56 6-Speed Manual Transmission is a high-performance aftermarket evolution of the legendary TR-6060, originally used as factory equipment in many modern Detroit muscle and sports cars. Designed for late-model GM applications, the Magnum XL features a unique extended-length tail housing that moves the shifter position over 8 inches rearward to properly align with factory semi-remote shifter configurations.

In today’s NVH-sensitive (noise, vibration, and harshness) vehicles, factory semi-remote shifters are commonly used to isolate unwanted harmonics from the cabin. While effective for comfort, these systems often compromise shift precision. The Magnum XL eliminates this drawback by incorporating a rigid direct-mount shifter and a proprietary shift isolator, delivering an exceptional balance of refined dampening and crisp, accurate gear engagement.
