Application
STEP 1
Be sure to measure the diameter of the shaft and count the number of splines on the shaft. Some shafts have a blank spot ground on one side. To get the correct number of splines, use a flat edge and cover the blank half of the shaft through the diameter and count the splines on the other half. Multiply that number by 2, thus giving you the total number of splines on the full circumference of the shaft.
STEP 2
Choose which shaft type best suits your application: 3/4" weld on, 3/4" DD or 1" DD.
STEP 3
With these two pieces of information at hand, refer to our chart to find the appropriate part number of the ujoint for your specific application.

The product is praised for its quality, value, and practicality. It's highlighted for its adaptability for use with a C-4 rack, but may require some modification. The product, while possibly lacking certain instructions on use, performs admirably when correctly used. The product is also noted for being a hard-to-find part for corvette steering shaft, appreciating its availability. On a comparative perspective, some customers consider it to be superior to cheaper versions. However, the actual fit may differ depending on specific use.

Careful when welding. Too high heat evaporates the lubricant in the joint. Nowhere is this warning documented.

Bought this to fit a unisteer rack and allstar shaft. Had to grind on both ends to get it to fit. Definitely a cheaper made product, only consolation is price.

The part I ordered was for a c4 corvette steering shaft . It worked perfect for my application. The joint fit on the factory rack and pinion and onto a 3/4 tube for the intermediate shaft . Its a hard to find part and nice to see parts like this in the catalog and not just hidden on the web site.
