Straight Socketless Push-On Fitting, 30 Degree Taper, -10 AN - 1/2 NPT

Not ideal for the type II steering pump

Bought this with the recommendation of a speedway counter salesman for my type II steering pump that works with the speedway LS steering pump and alternator bracket. The tapered NPT threads and length of threads is too much for that pump. It threads in too easily because of the taper and bottoms out inside the pump. A shorter amount of threads is needed preferably with a boss o-ring. No amount of sealer wouldve sealed this fitting in that pump. Another online parts retailer sold the correct style fitting. Otherwise I'm sure the quality of this part is good, just saying do not use it for this particular application and be aware the threads are tapered.
