Product Summary

Oval Track Cars, Steel, Zinc Plated, 7" Diameter

  • This 7" nail head tire grinding disc works with 7" grinders or polishers

Overall Assessment

Customers praised the product for its efficiency in grinding and preparing tires for dirt track racing. They noted its aggressive and sharp qualities, making the tire surface coarse and aiding performance on the slick. Users found it easy to use, especially at low RPMs. Despite a need for a variable speed grinder for optimal usage, the product's high performance and quality deem it worth purchasing repeatedly. Some customers suggested a welded nut at its center for added convenience. Overall, the product is considered solid, heavy-duty, and superior to alternative sanding discs.

I use these to cut tractor tires. Work great for finish grinding after using the carbine wheel. If you're skilled with a grinder do not buy the variable speed as it won't have enough hp to spin them efficiently to hog material. My 9" dewalt barely has enough for as hard as I want to push on the grinder.

Prepping tires for dirt track. Leaves coarse markings and grooves in tire surface. Avoid tearing into a tread block, Comes with a hole in the center, it should have a 5/8 nut welded into the center. Had to stack up misc. washers and nuts from the box O grinder parts to get it fitted on to my HF polisher. You definitely don't want to use this on a high speed grinder. 4 stars because no center nut

It would be nice if they would have welded the nut to the disk to hold it in place. Not a big deal, but for the price it would'nt be much to add that.

This will be used to rough up dirt car racing tires to make them more aggressive. It is solid, heavy duty, and should work great for this.

Variable speed grinder is a must with this product, it works better at a slow speed and won't get away from you as easy.
