Overall Assessment

The customers appreciated the enhanced functionality of upgrading their vehicles with our Sequential LED Tail Light Kit. Most customers agreed on the product's superb quality and value for money, praising its well-designed, easy to install nature, and improved brightness compared to traditional bulbs. Many found the instructions for assembly clear and straightforward. Some reported needing minor modifications for a perfect fit. However, issues with the circuitry were noted, suggesting a need for increased upfront information about the product. Despite these issues, the majority confirmed that it lived up to expectations and outperformed similar items on the market. The product was particularly recommended for individuals keen on vehicle modification and restoration.

Works OK, Once Circuitry Is Understood As Ground Trigger

Before buying I read all the reviews I could find, trying to understand why some buyers were unable to get their apps functioning. Read instructions & concluded there should be no issues one could not overcome. My install is in a 1967 Mustang using an aftermarket 3 tail light set up for 1157 bulbs. Already using LED versions so no issues vs incandescent bulbs. Did trial functional test on bench wiring with 12V Battery power, using wiring instructions included with sequential wiring kit. Set up included UP Flasher P/N 90650. This set up yielded only std on/off flashing AND brake & tail lights both shining bright. After a couple of talks with UP Support (Edgar & Jesus), where they said this product was tested using only plastic light sockets; not metal. Since 1157 bulbs ground through the out shell base, on the surface this did not compute; but after a few minutes I figured it has to be this sequential light system is ground triggered, explaining the on/off only flashing since my set up had a sockets to common ground, therefore flashing all lights as the ground triggered. More bench testing with this 90656 module, permitting discrete grounding for each light from the module (means NO direct light connection to chassis ground) did the trick. Module worked great. Rear light setup changes I had to make was buying GM style plastic body 1157 socket having 3 leads and fabricating new sheet metal brackets for the plastic sockets and fit then into the 3 light frame. Not too much effort considering I was able to retain the sockets to bracket via #6 machine screws through socket flanges. Bottom line all is good after a little effort. Would have given this 5 Stars if circuit info was given up front & longevity of this system is yet unknown. Kudos to Edgar & Jesus at UP. Great guys that worked with me closely with sincere attempts to resolve issues in very patient & kind mannerism. Really excellent service.

Disappointed - Could Not Get It To Work

Bought to use in 1967 Mustang after I installed the 3 light bulb(1157) mod from Scott Drake for rear lights. Then installed LED-CW-18T lights throughout. Scott Drake adapter using 3 bulbs works fine for tail, brake & turning with United Pacific Flasher 90650, with tail lights using the dimmer filament OK. Wired sequential flasher OK. Pretty straightforward. Noticed tail, brake, & turn lights are all same brightness when wired through the UP 90656 Sequential Flasher Unit. Then tried hook with UP Turn Signal Flasher 90650. No sequential flashing, all simultaneous. Then I hooked up the 2nd flasher in kit and same result. In short, this puppy did not work & the wife is major league disappointed since this resto mod is hers. I will attempt to contact UP for direction. It may be the LEDs I selected are the problem, but seems unlikely. If no resolution, then I will try for a return on both sets purchased.

The directions are not clear stating that you have to have plastic light sockets with their own individual grounds or this system will not work if you are converting an old three light tail light.
