Perfect fit and great quality
I searched the normal channels to find an adapter that would make it so I could use my chrome air filter housing. I bought a plastic one since that was all I could find but the heat warped it the first time I used it. I have a 2 barrel Quadrajet and the automatic choke comes up close to the bowl so most adapters won't work and are flimsy plastic. This is perfect, it is thick aluminum and there is no chance it will warp. There is also enough clearance for the automatic choke to work correctly. If you have a 2 barrel carb and want a cool air filter housing you will need this adapter because they are all designed for 4 barrel. DO NOT BUY THE PLASTIC ONES! This is the only one I could find that is quality and fits well.

good idea needs work
i bought one of these and the aluminum aircleaner to run on the 66 2gc carb i have on my flathead while the adapter fits the carbs throat . the adapters throat isnt long enough to clear the fuel in let and the bowl vent so the adapter doesnt not lay flat on the top of the carb i had to run a plastic adater under it to use it

The adapter fits the stock Rochester carb diameter perfectly as well as the aftermarket carb base. Hogging out material to avoid the choke linkage from contacting the underside was required for full choke operation
