Speedway Motors 91015805 Details
This valve is used with Speedway's aluminum T-bucket radiator (91015600). It threads into a 1/4" NPT hole in the top radiator tank and it limits the pressure in the radiator to 15 psi.
The aluminum T-bucket radiator does not use a conventional "pressure" radiator cap, rather it uses the decorative "T" caps to seal the neck at the top of the radiator.
The arrow on the valve indicates the flow from the radiator if unit has arrow noted on side of fitting. If no arrow is noted, the radiator side of the fitting or 'inlet' side can be identified as the end with the allen hex fitting threaded into the end of the unit. The oposite end or the smooth bore end on the opposite side is the 'outlet' end or the over flow hose side.

I used this item on a pressure tank
This is the only Company that carried the pressure valve . I looked everywhere ! I needed a 20lb. pressure valve , but this is working . I am using it on a diesel engine , that when under load gets a little hotter than a gas engine . I know it will work great on a gas engine .

not good product for tbucket radiators
this is a good product maybe on another application, it will not return water to the radiator on tbucket from overflow tank.

this relief valve was recommended for the type of radiator I purchased for my 23 T bucket and after talking to the tech I was informed this was a one way valve and that I couldn't use a recovery tank for the radiator, this valve should be a two way valve so you can use a recovery tank

These relief valves do work as advertised. However, they do not last very long. The replaceable special made little inner rubber seal will eventually fizzle out and will drip coolant usually when on the road. No special little replacement rubber seal is available, which is the only part that actually fails. I carry a spare valve because of this.

I want the radiator to recover the coolant. Can a second relief valve with a very weak check spring, or with the spring removed, be installed parallel but reversed. Pressure would hold it shut and vacuum would open it and suck the coolant back to radiator.
