The two-piece design of the stands allows for height adjustment using a locking pin as well as the ability to disassemble and store flat when not in use, freeing up precious space in your work area! Strong locking rubber casters run over metal shavings, small bolts, and other debris smoothly and effortlessly - then hold your car in place when you're working on it. Removable non-slip rubber mounts provide good grip for your car and can be easily be replaced if needed. We have also added ears onto the edges of the stands to keep your car captured during movement and less likely to accidentally slip off.

I Took A Chance And It Worked Out
Having but a small 2-car garage, I was stuck for space. On one side I was restoring an old MG. The other side held the chassis and body of a recently purchased Factory Five Cobra Daytona Coupe. I needed to be able to shuffle the cars around in order to work on them. The MG was the easier. It was sitting on car skates, but the Daytona was just a bare chassis and body sitting on jackstands. Then I saw these rolling stands for Midget Race Cars and thought, 'I wonder?' They were 30 inches wide and the bottom of the Daytona frame measured 24 inches. So I took a chance and ordered them. The Daytona fit perfectly. Moreover, the casters allow me to move the chassis easily, and the locks on the casters hold the car solidly in place when working on the chassis.

Using them with Formula Fords (950 lbs). Is would be nice if they were a few inches taller, but they are as described. The casters also lock in rotation which helps with overall stability when locked.

After measurements, I confirmed these stands would support the frame rails of my completely disassembled Datsun 510. They worked GREAT! (Note: I did replace the original casters with 5" casters)
