A heavy helmet is tough on a racer’s neck, cornering forces exert a lot of pressure that a racer must counter, tiring the racer. A lightweight drag racing helmet or autocross helmet is not only more comfortable but allows the racer to concentrate on what matters most—the race itself.

Our SA2020 carbon fiber helmet weighs in at just 53.5 ounces, which makes it one of the lightest carbon fiber helmets we carry at a value that cannot be matched by other helmet brands. Our weight savings comes not only from the thin, yet strong, carbon fiber shell itself, but the use of other lightweight materials including the knit fireproof lining, polycarbonate eye shield, and more. The Hybrid Sport neck restraint harness is the next evolution of the Hybrid Pro Rage technology. Constructed from DuPont carbon polymer materials, the Hybrid Sport is in every way superior to previous neck restraint models. The sliding tether system allows for greater side to side movement.

The carbon polymer construction makes the Hybrid Sport 20% lighter than previous models, and much more durable than standard polymer models. The high wing shoulders allow for secure seatbelt containment. The Hybrid Sport straps directly to the driver, allowing it to safely and securely hold your neck and helmet in place, while still allowing superior range of motion.
