Excellent product!
The last item I bought was to finish off the rear of my '40 Ford pickup, and I was very pleased with the chrome portion, as well as with the design of the license plate frame, and light. When I work on my vehicle, I always wear a work shirt with the Speedway Motors Emblem sewed onto it, giving me the chance to tell where and who Speedway Motors is.

Still looking for a good quality frame
I bought this chrome license frame after looking at several that were unchromed billet aluminum that I didn't want to have to polish constantly. The description of this part doesn't say this is a cast part, nor that it's made in Taiwan. I thought it was a chromed billet aluminum part. I opened the box immediately after receipt, and was totally disappointed. The chrome is FAR from show quality. It has sanding scratches and pits in it, and the machining of the casting flash is inconsistent. This may work fine on a daily driver if you don't care about looks, but it's unsuitable for a show car. I should have known better, but Speedway should have also said this is a cast part, and not misled me to believe it was a "quality" show-chrome part. I's not. The picture of the part is deceiving..I'd post pics but it's hard to photograph a chrome part. Oh, and the wire is way too short...you have to spice it right where it's visible, or replace the wire altogether. Sorry, but this part is JUNK, imo.

The frame is well made and easy to install. It does not come with hardware so I had to buy SS hardware separately. The bulb that comes with it is OK but not bright, so I had to upgrade with an LED bulb. For the price, I would expect the unit to come with quality SS hardware and modern LED bulbs.

This is the first review I have ever left on Speedway. This license plate frame looks fantastic once you're done "fixing" it. First of all, like everyone else said the wire could be about 6-12" longer for the price. After installing and blowing fuse after fuse I had to completely remove and disassemble the frame to locate the dead short where the wire runs through the actual frame. The holes didn't line up and the wire was pinched from factory. A drill and some heat shrink later and the thing works and looks great. However, it should not take over an hour to repair and install this thing for the price of it.

International shipping is extremely high cost ... Shipper's lack of consciousness sending a product in a hollow box six or eight times the size of item. Unacceptable tolerance - for customer costs .
