I bought this for an upcoming hot rod project. The chrome is nice and the purple paint has good coverage, as well. Also, the letters are painted in an off-white color, which looks good and may not be that visible in pictures. There are two screw holes at the top, and a pair of little half-moon clips at the bottom that hook under the plate. I've run this style of frame for years, and in some cases, rocks will chip the bottom up if you don't live on good pavement. Also, a car club plaque hanging on chains can swing up and make short work of them. In most cases, however, this style of frame is perfectly fine.

I purchased a pair of these for front and rear plates. I could have probably purchased a "standard" frame at a local auto parts store, but that would deprive me of that SPEEDWAY neatness! Both frames had a wee bit of a bend in them, but a little gentle persuasion brought them back to a perfectly flat condition. They are, after all, a relatively thin die cast part.
