Installation Tips

How to install/mount the push button:

Note - Switch mounting hole must not exceed 1.75” (45.45mm) overall diameter as the switch assembly is 2.04” (52mm).

If you have easy access to the backside of the mounting location:

Remove the 4 screws holding the 4-prong bracket to the back of the switch assembly.
Thread the cable/harness through the panel hole from the front, positioning the switch assembly centrally over the hole.
Reattach the 4-prong bracket using the mounting screws, ensuring proper centering and orientation of the switch before fully securing it.
Note: To ensure a secure fit, you may need to adjust or bend the prongs to match the panel's contour.

If backside access is challenging:

Keep the 4-prong bracket attached to the switch and gently bend 4 tabs back to fit the 4-prongs through the hole.
After confirming the fitment of the 4-prongs, feed the cable/harness through the hole from the front, followed by the switch assembly.
Center the switch assembly over the hole and carefully bend back the 4-prongs, being mindful not to damage or pinch the cable/harness.
Note: Similar to the previous scenario, adjust or bend the prongs as needed to match the panel's shape for a secure fit.

For the price this push to start system is awesome. Looks OEM, easy to install, and work s (so far. Only had it a short time so we'll see) only bad point is the key fob range is basically zero. You practically have to lay the fob on the antenna to get it to recognize. For the price it's livable.

I'm assuming there is a battery in the fob/transponder. Is there any kind of over ride or bypass if that battery goes dead? I've had it happen before with modern push button starting systems and it kind of leaves you hanging until you can find a battery. Thanks
