Perfect for my application
I moved the battery in my 67" Econoline from under the seat to the frame just in back of my wheel well. After drilling mounting holes in the frame it installed easy. i had to trim some of the edges of my battery case to drop into the holder but fit perfect otherwise. I used my floor jack to lift the battery and case up into position but after that it was easy to slide into the locked upper position. Take the time to plan out your install but so far this is working perfectly for my app. No rattles when driving and the steel case should keep my battery safe and secure. Cons well slides a little rough to get into the upper locked position but you've got a heavy battery in there now and spring latches for locking into place could be a bit more easy to use and to operate but other than that the unit is well built and i don't see me having to drop the battery anytime soon I am planning on figuring out a way to make the top of the battery weatherproofed as it is exposed more now to the elements. I highly recommend this item ADAM

Battery box
This box went I'm my 55 Chevy Truck The nice thing about it is it's very easy to drop down The bad part about it is it all has to be welded before you install it, I received two this way. The tabs fall off both sides for the slides.

I used this dropdown battery box for my Chevy2 wagon and mounted it behind the gas tank and in front of the rear bumper. It was the perfect way to keep the battery out of the engine compartment without using up the spare tire well and having the battery in the cabin.
