Ever had problems with a spongy pedal or slow, unresponsive brakes? If so, you may need a residual pressure valve installed in your brake line. A residual valve acts like a one-way or check valve to maintain brake system pressure to eliminate the problems of a spongy pedal. This 2 PSI residual valve is installed inline between the master cylinder and disc brake calipers to keep 2 PSI of residual pressure at the caliper after the brake pedal is released. This ensures that you will have a high, firm pedal next time you press the brake pedal.
If your master cylinder is located below the floorboard, installing a 2 PSI residual valve is highly recommended. If your master cylinder is mounted on the firewall, a residual valve is generally not needed because gravity will provide a natural residual pressure within the brake line.
Our residual pressure valve features a distinctive purple anodized finish with 1/8" NPT port at each end. Use 2 PSI residual valves for disc brake applications only.
Our included Adjusable Brake Proportioning Valve allows easy adjustment of front-to-rear brake bias. Universal design works on all race cars. Has a 100 to 1500 psi range with up to 57 percent pressure reduction.
Kit includes
- (2) Disc Brake Residual Valves, 2 PSI
- (4) Straight 3/8"-24 IFF to 1/8 Inch NPT Male Adapter
- (1) Adjustable Brake Proportioning Valve

Customers appreciate the product's easy installation and adjustment features, particularly for rear brakes. Its stand-out qualities include its simplifying disk & disk adjustments. However, some customers wish for a more unified system, citing too many varying fittings in a compact area, created potential leak points. The inclusion of a Speedway residual valve with an inverted flare, thus eliminating the need for an adapter, was a useful modification suggested. Overall, the product performs well, despite some room for enhancements.

It would make way too much sense to put all 6 of the fittings of all the same size or type. Brass fittings and steel plated fittings One being a standard size the other being a metric size for the hex. Understanding there are several different options you could go with the residual valves but why they don't offer the Speedway residual valve already an inverted flare so you don't have to use an adapter. Within 10 inches of my brake system I have 6 un-needed fittings 12 possible areas for a leak in 10 inches.
