Overall Assessment

Customers highly recommend the proportioning valve for correcting brake bias, praising its compact size, quality design, and easy installation. They commended the valve for its precise adjustments, enhancing their braking efficiency. Its small size allows for fitting in limited spaces and customers appreciate its ability to shut off completely if needed. They lauded the product's quality and ease of use, suggesting it as a superior alternative to competitor models. Some users highlighted the necessity of including fittings to fit 3/16 brake lines and the importance of locking down the adjustment knob with a hex head screw. Despite a few requests for more detailed installation instructions or guidance, the product's performance and customer satisfaction rated highly.

Great Product and Good Price

Bought this for a 1990 f150 with a 5.8L windsor(built some), and a heavy duty E4OD trans(built some), with a modded rear end with 3.88's, i mainly use to do straight line racing with, and specifically needed a line lock of sorts for burnout competitions. most of them were running any place from 65 to 160 bucks for anything of the sorts. with this i simply took a line connector out, bent the lines slightly up to make the gap wider, and using 2 of the recommended reducers for thread pitch, not the 90's that are in the recommended but the other option, installed it all, bled brakes quickly, clamped it down to close it off completely, backed out, went out and did a test hit, and roasted both rear tires no problem while the fronts kept me in place. Cheap, but well made, and i'm very happy with it. no instructions, but none needed, open box, snag two reducers that you buy with it, get line wrenches, tighten those down on the valve, get more line wrenches, break loose the lines on the vehicle, look to see which end is marked "towards master cylinder, and towards calipers" or "flow" with an arrow, i forgot which way this was marked, install on car. bleed brakes, set to desired tightness, and let it be. am planning on making a box to keep debris from burnouts and the track off of it, as it's tucked up to the frame rail near the rear leaf springs, and with illinois roads, salt, and old man winter, i'm not sure if this might stop functioning. better be safe than sorry. so far very happy. definitely snag it for a weekend track/burnout warrior.

Flow valve not a pressure valve.

The valve restricts the flow of fluid. It does not set a max pressure like most proportioning valves. If used your brakes will still see the pressure as before, but it just takes longer for them to reach that pressure. I can see where this would be advantageous in some setups, but it is not a pressure proportioning valve. I would describe it as a flow proportioning valve.

My car from the factory had way too much front brake bias. I replaced the factory proportioning valve with the Speedway part so I could adjust the bias more to the rear brakes.
