Improved Traction at a Great Value

Get the traction benefits of a limited slip differential, quiet operation and a great value with our Clutch Style Differential for Ford 9 inch rear ends. Our clutch style posi-traction differential is a welcome alternative to expensive locker & spool differentials which are often overkill and more than the common street car requires.

Based off the original OEM limited slip designs, we’ve drawn from millions of miles of experience and improved these already reliable designs with increased holding power from a redesigned spring loaded clutch pack—suiting it well for heavy-duty street car applications.

Street Tough Design, Quiet Operation

Our clutch style differential works with any factory Ford 9 inch differential case, gear, axles and bearings. A forged steel case and heat-treated spider gears ensure reliability. The clutch design gives quiet operation, with no clicking when disengaging for corners.

This differential has performed well in our Week to Wicked 1952 Chevy Truck, easily handling the job of transferring a 430 HP GM Performance LS3 to the ground. When you want the traction benefits of a limited slip differential in your Ford 9 inch rearend without the expense and noise of a full-locker unit, our clutch style differentials are just the ticket.

Overall Assessment

Customers highly recommend our differential for its exceptional quality that matches top name brands, yet costs less. They appreciate its surprising tightness, indicating its great performance and durability. Despite the small requirement of clearancing the case and pinion bearing support, customers consider these non-issues in comparison to the differential's superb quality. Despite its invisible placement after installation, its aesthetic appeal has also been highlighted by users, adding more to its overall value. Our differential is a market favorite for its fantastic quality, great price, and easy usability.

Had to clearance the case at the pinion support bearing, but that's not unheard of. Use it mostly street some strip.

I wanted to stick with my 28 spline axles, and I was extremely happy with the quality of this differential. The qualify matches "name brand" differentials but for less money. I was also surprised how tight it is, but I haven't really put many miles on it yet. I did have to clearance the case to clear the ring bolts, but that's a known issue.

I am super impressed with the qualify of this carrier vs it's price, not that I would expect anything less from Speedway! The only "issues" I came across were needing to clearance the pinion bearing support, and needing to clearance the inside of the case for the heads of the ring bolts. I say issues but I have seen this is necessary on a lot of aftermarket clutch style carriers. If you are up to changing your own carrier then I would think this should be a non-issue. Also, it's too bad this carrier can't be seen after its installed, its really a great looing unit!
