Overall Assessment

The product, a fixture for narrowing rear ends, has a strong reputation for quality and practicality. Customers are extremely satisfied, often purchasing again, finding it perfect for setting up spring mounts and pinion angles. The product has proved instrumental in customising cars, enabling DIY setups. It needs to be welded for stability though it can be used temporarily. Accordingly, it is advised that the parts are chrome-plated which need to be removed before welding. Despite its minor drawback, the product is lauded for adjustability and easy installation, even being used as a sway bar location point. It stands out for its robustness and easy-to-follow instructions, making it the ideal choice for those without access to a welder. The product outshines ordinary steel saddle mounts by offering the same utility with enhanced features.

Very easy to setup and use

Allows you to set up a bare housing to your car and set pinion angle, etc. I used them strictly for mock up purposes and then had them welded to the housing. I read other reviews that the housing had moved on the housing when only tightened down.

I thought I could adjust, Drive, check for vibration and adjust again. Nope. These will move on your axle if you drive it without welding. Might grip on a rusty axle or with some thin rubber added in between, but no way on a smooth semi gloss painted axle housing. They are plated which has to be removed before welding and is near impossible to do once on the car. I would recommend just buying regular plain steel saddle mounts...

I used these to lock in the setup and welded them after the angle was dialed in. Makes it much easier when working of of jack stands.
