Remove And Install LS Cam Bearings Quickly and Easily

High mileage LS engines requiring a full rebuild means that the camshaft bearings must be replaced. To properly clean an LS block the cam bearings and all removable gallery plugs must be stripped from the block. The best way to remove your cam bearings is with the proper cam bearing tool. Using our Chevy LS cam bearing tool makes it easy to remove and replace your LS cam bearings without damage. Once your block has been cleaned you can use the same LS cam bearing tool to install your new LS cam bearings in the proper order. The tool’s drive arbor is made from high-quality stainless steel for long service life and the knurled handle on the drive arbor provides for enhanced grip when driving bearings in or out. We added a large diameter stainless steel strike face as well for your hammer. The tapered alignment spool and bearing drive spool are both made from anodized aluminum to prevent block damage, cradle your new LS cam bearings properly, and most importantly, last. This is a must have tool for all engine builders, mechanics, and do-it-yourselfers rebuilding Chevy LS engines!

Due to the differences in small block Chevy vs LS cam bearing dimensions we have made this LS cam bearing tool specifically for the Chevy LS engine cam bearing dimensions. We include with the LS cam bearing tool two O-rings that retain the LS cam bearings on the drive spool during the installation and removal of each of the five cam bearings in the LS engine. The anodized aluminum drive spool and alignment spool are CNC machined to provide a precise fit for proper alignment when doing your LS cam bearing install. We make the removal and replacement of your Chevy LS engine cam bearings quick and easy.

I have the universal cam bearing tool that has worked ok for years but I will throw it in the trash after using this tool. I wish I would've bought it years ago. It has o-rings to keep it centered as well as to hold the bearings, and drive the new bearings in straight. If you drive one out and the new one in one at a time, it is hard to make a mistake with this. Very well made, and price was very reasonable as well.

Bought this tool because I didn't want to use my "universal" cam bearing install tool and mess up my new bearings from banging them against the universal spreader and have to file or sand down the bearings for the cam to go in and spin freely. Bearings went in without a hitch and cam spun excellent with no filing or sanding needed. If you do a lot of LS cam bearings this is a tool I would recommend.
