Speedway Motors 91720038-1 Details
These ball joint use a 1973-1995 GM Truck taper, but they have a longer (taller) stud than the stock GM part. The taller stud changes the pivot point due to its length, which in turn raises the cars roll center. Very common ball joint on IMCA Modifieds.
This ball joint is equivalent to Moog K6117. It has an outside diameter of 1.975" and can be used with our sleeve 910-34818 to replace the 1971-1976 Impala lower ball joint 917-20038 when a taller ball joint is desired.
Lower ball joint fits most stut cars, 1971-1976 Impala and most wide-type dirt cars. Press-In.

Is there a sleeve to use for this ball joint to put in 64-72 chevelle lower control arm, or are the mod guys just welding these in without a sleeve.

Truck control arm fitment In the description it reads: "These are NOT a direct fit in the stock pickup A-frames." What about them will not fit? Is the housing the wrong diameter to press in, or is is simply because the stud is longer and not a direct replacement for the stock truck ball joint?
