Overall Assessment

Customers are highly satisfied with our product's quality, usability, and practicality. It serves as a perfect adapter to make original gas tank sending units compatible with new units, accommodating multiple classic car models. Users appreciate its ease of installation, high-quality material, and perfect fit. This adapter works excellently for upgrading old fuel gauges and aiding the installation of modern fuel senders in older tanks, solving a prevalent problem many users faced. Some customers had to modify the adapter slightly due to misalignments, but most recommend our product over competitors' due to its precise fit, quality, and affordability.

Saved a good fuel tank

Rather than butcher a good, but aged fuel tank, I came across this adapter in the on line catalog. They are made for early Ford 6 hole sender, but they fit my 49 Hudson fuel tank. The only difference is the 5/16 UNC countersunk screws fit Fords, and Hudsons are UNF. My suggestion is that you package both types of countersunk screw to cover more fuel tanks. My standard VDO sender fits perfectly now.

Works, but quality is iffy.

The holes didn't line up very well for my Sunpro sender, I had to enlarge one of the holes on the plate for the sender. The gasket between the adapter and tank didn't fit very well either, the holes were too small and to far towards the outer edge, so they didn't line up very well either. Also, there was still machining debris in most of the holes. Expected a little better for a [$] chunk of aluminum.

I used this adapter to install a 5 bolt fuel sending unit in the fuel tank of my 1948 Ford F1 pickup that has a six bolt mounting flange. This adapter lined up perfectly with both the tank and sending unit bolt patterns. The supplied gasket and hardware worked well and made the installation a breeze. A very nice product that directly solves a problem. Definitely recommended!

Worked great to adapt new sending unit on my 1950 f-1 in cab tank. My only problem is that the gasket was missing in the package but I had gasket material and made one. Adapter is well made and works perfect. I would recommend this part.

I bought the fuel sender adapter plate for my 1935 Ford Tudor Rat Rod. The original fuel tank sender opening was overly large for a modern five hole unit. This plate fits the larger size opening and allows the modern 12 volt sending unit to be used. Now my fuel gauge reads accurately.

Used in a 1954 Ford Courier sedan delivery. Installed an aftermarket gas gauge and sending unit. The stock Ford sending unit has 6 screws, aftermarket sender has 5. This adapter adapts the sending unit perfectly.
