The cross section of the rubber extrusion is a little different that the factory piece. The Softseal part is fatter and caused my hood to raise way up in the back when the hood closed. The rubber is too stiff to compress enough to level the hood. I though over time it would compress down but it never did. I removed it and bought another brand.
