First off, you need an assembly manual or find one online to find the correct placement of these and in particular the 5th rogue piece that sits up against the firewall. I had my old inner fenders with the old staple holes to install these in. I had removed my old ones and started to put these on and quickly realized just how stupid hard these were going to be. I got two in and saw that with the fender and the width of the flaps, not much of the staple was left to bend back. Its also such a heavy wire it would be incredibly hard, take forever, and would certainly scratch the snot out of my paint. So I used a more malleable wire that I could cut to length, twist together, and trim back. Looks great and got them done quickly. My other gripe would be the rubber seemed flimsy and would tear easily. I am sure under normal conditions and how I plan on driving my car and storing it, it will last another 50 years, but still. How hard would it be to use a more solid less perforated rubber?
